I work collaboratively with my clients to identify their treatment goals and believe in the importance of establishing a trusting therapeutic relationship to affect change. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches based on the individual needs and goals of the client.
Anxiety + Depression
It is typical for anxiety and depression to occur together. Untreatable anxiety is a risk factor for depression in teens and adults. The goods news is that anxiety is highly treatable.
Mind + Motion
Join me for walks or runs around Summit County while we meet for our sessions, enjoying nature and getting exercise.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a psychotherapy treatment that is effective for resolving emotional difficulties caused by disturbing, difficult or frightening life experiences.
Animal Assisted Therapy
Join me and my dog, Olive, a chocolate lab mental health therapy dog who works with me to support your therapeutic process.
My work with youth addresses increasing self-awareness, building self-esteem and problem solving. I have been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and also provide Animal Assisted Therapy with my therapy dog, Olive, a 6 year old chocolate lab. Olive supports the therapeutic process with her calming presence by helping to establish a sense of safety, build rapport, practice skills and improve self esteem and confidence.
As a trained Road Runners Club of America Coach, I also provide run, walk, and talk therapy (Mind + Motion) in which we take our sessions outside and address therapeutic goals while walking or running. I recommend run, walk therapy for those who want an alternative approach to therapy.
